Kathleen has called Waterloo Region home since 1975. Her family has attended our public schools, and she has served this community as a trustee for six terms.

Kathleen brings experience in education governance, social work and community service to the board table.
A Waterloo Region resident since 1975, Kathleen is a mother and grandmother whose family has attended public schools. Over six terms as a WRDSB trustee, she has served as chair, vice-chair and past chair, with committee work in strategic planning, audit and leadership selection.
She studied at Wilfrid Laurier University, earning a Bachelor of Arts and, in 2003, a Master of Social Work. After a career in public service, she retired from the City of Kitchener’s Community Services Department in 2020.
In July 2024, she was elected President of the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association, following service as First and Second Vice-President. Kathleen was acclaimed President of OPSBA in June 2026 for a two year term.
